The so called database calls that was used in Firefall was through Web-API in json format. Calls were made on the client side and then verified on server side.

Hard to say. We don't have specific tasks that need to be done and that we can assign people to. Current efforts largely are about figuring out how the network protocol works, so we can build a working PoC server for zoning (and movement)? Lots of stuff can already be found on GitHub, but it's not as easy to get started. What are you most interested in?

We already know how the 3d format used works, so this is probably doable a bit down the road. We're not taking donations, but thanks for the thought.
